The Industrial Revolution was a historical period from the second half of the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. In this period appeared the machines instead of the workshop and also appeared the factories.

In this Webquest you have some questions about the Industrial Revolution. Try to find the answers in the following links:

Answers:

1)WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web. These can be created using various programs, including a simple word processing document that includes links to websites.
2)*When creating a WebQuests there are five pages to includes; an Introduction, Process, Task, Evaluation, Credits and a Teacher’s page. The teacher’s page is created to share with other teachers. It lets them know what the WebQuest is about.
A real WebQuest:
*is wrapped around a doable and interesting task that is ideally a scaled down version of things that adults do as citizens or workers.
requires higher level thinking, not simply summarizing. This includes synthesis, analysis, problem-solving, creativity and judgment.
makes good use of the web. A WebQuest that isn't based on real resources from the web is probably just a traditional lesson in disguise. (Of course, books and other media can be used within a WebQuest, but if the web isn't at the heart of the lesson, it's not a WebQuest.)
isn't a research report or a step-by-step science or math procedure. Having learners simply distilling web sites and making a presentation about them isn't enough.
isn't just a series of web-based experiences. Having learners go look at this page, then go play this game, then go here and turn your name into hieroglyphs doesn't require higher level thinking skills and so, by definition, isn't a WebQuest.

For me the dangers of a society depending on computers is that people loses the real contact with their friends because instead of talking face to face or going out people stay at home talking with that friends but in a computer and this is not good, and is bad for our health too, because if you are seated all the day in the computer instead of doing other activities you aren’t being healthy, you have to do exercise, and is bad for the eyes too. I think is good to use the computer because they are good to be in contact with your friends, to study, look for information and play computer games, but not all the time, you have to be outside, breathing fresh air and relaxing. Another positive thing about the computer is that you can download all the music that you want and you don’t have to go to certain places to buy a cd or something you only have to download the song that you want to listen, so, I think the computer give us so many benefits but we don’t have to be all the time in the computer is good to meet your friends and being outside but all things have their good and bad points but it doesn’t mean that is bad for the people is bad when people use it so much.
